About the Role
Vaco by Highspring is looking for a Developer - Application Security. The role involves embedding secure development practices into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps), collaborating with development and architecture teams to address security vulnerabilities, and automating application security testing.
Responsibilities
- Embed secure development practices into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Collaborate with development and architecture teams to identify and resolve security vulnerabilities.
- Implement and automate dynamic application security testing (DAST) using modern SaaS security tools.
- Perform secure code reviews and assist in vulnerability remediation.
- Build and maintain secure containers and deployments using Kubernetes and Docker.
- Ensure applications are securely deployed in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Select and integrate security tools and platforms into the CI/CD pipeline.
- Document security procedures and provide guidance on secure coding practices.
About the Candidate
Required Qualifications
- Strong Java development expertise, including secure coding practices and object-oriented design.
- Solid experience in application security, including threat modeling, vulnerability analysis, and remediation.
- Hands-on experience with SaaS security tools, particularly DAST (Dynamic Application Security Testing).
- Proficient with Kubernetes and Docker, including security best practices for containerization.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with OWASP Top 10, Spring Security, and secure API development.
- Experience integrating security into CI/CD pipelines.
- Security certifications such as OSCP, CISSP, or CSSLP.
