About the Role

A health services network is currently seeking an experienced professional to join their staff as their new DBT Developer. In this role, the DBT Developer will be responsible for developing, deploying, and enhancing DBT models to improve data processing and standardization.

Responsibilities

  • Remodel and enhance existing DBT models to improve data processing and standardization.
  • Develop new DBT ETL pipelines as additional payers are onboarded.
  • Work with payer data including claims, eligibility, and premium data.
  • Transform data from multiple payers like Aetna, BCBS, Humana, and Anthem into standardized tables for member data and standardized claims data.
  • Utilize DBT for ETL processes, ensuring data is correctly processed and loaded into the internal data warehouse (SQL Server).
  • Collaborate closely with the team managing Apache Airflow and Python scripting to ensure seamless integration and data flow.
  • Fix bugs and perform root cause analysis for issues such as incorrect Claim Paid totals or membership counts, and patient matching/MPI issues.

About the Candidate

The ideal candidate will possess experience developing DBT models with healthcare payer data, including claims, eligibility, and premium data. Required technical skills include proficiency in DBT, Python, and SQL scripting, along with a strong understanding of ETL pipeline development and management. Familiarity with Apache Airflow for managing workflows will be an added advantage.
