About the Role
Aurum Search Limited is seeking a Data Engineer to become part of a leading global investment management firm. In this role, you will be responsible for managing data that feeds into trading strategies across various asset classes. You will leverage data pipelines heavily in your day-to-day tasks, which include:
- Understanding new and existing data products delivered by data vendors and acting as a technical liaison.
- Using Python coding to translate these products into datasets optimized for trading system consumption.
- Creating and maintaining automated data quality tests to ensure compliance with the standards set by quantitative strategies.
- Supporting daily operations of data pipelines by addressing issues and solving real-time challenges.
About the Candidate
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelors or Masters degree in a STEM field and hold over 2 years of experience in Python and SQL. Additionally, experience working with large datasets is essential. Exceptional communication and collaboration skills are crucial for success in this role.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following skills will be considered advantageous:
- Operational experience supporting real-time systems.
- Familiarity with Amazon S3, Airflow, Kafka, and Docker.
