About the Role
JUNGE FREIHEIT Verlag GmbH & Co. KG is seeking a Junior Frontend-Entwickler (m/w/d) to join their development team in Berlin as soon as possible. We are a part of the IT department at JUNGE FREIHEIT, focused on developing innovative SaaS solutions that automate publishing and online media operations. Our modular publishing and integration platform enables rapid development and effective management of digital media projects, subscription systems, ad campaigns, and e-commerce.
Responsibilities
- Implement and develop interfaces according to Figma/Photoshop templates.
- Write clean, typed code using ES2023+/TypeScript 5.
- Create unit tests using Jest and React Testing Library, and participate in integrated E2E testing with Playwright.
- Collaborate with UX designers and the backend team (Golang + gRPC/REST).
- Participate in code reviews, daily stand-ups, and internal frontend meetings.
About the Candidate
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Mathematics.
- Solid theoretical knowledge of algorithms and data structures, analytical and structured thinking.
- Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, semantics, and accessibility.
- Initial experience with React and Next.js through projects or studies.
- Familiarity with Git and Pull-Request workflows.
- Ability to read technical documentation in English.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Storybook or design systems.
- Basic knowledge of Docker or Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with GraphQL, Zustand, or Redux.
