Our client is among the largest hedge funds, managing diverse investments for institutional clients. You will be leading the development of a DSL based on Scala in a team that partners closely with sophisticated investors who are technically savvy. Your mission will be to create highly functional and intuitive technologies that enhance investment processes.
Responsibilities
- Lead designs of major software components, systems, and features, including necessary patterns and non-functional requirements (NFRs).
- Collaborate in design discussions, providing technical solutions to business users and translating requirements into detailed architectural blueprints.
- Define and evolve the team's set of best practices, anticipating issues and designing for flexibility.
- Work close with the business to tackle key challenges, clearly communicating complex technical concepts to stakeholders.
- Produce component- and object-level designs, along with documentation of high-quality code.
- Ensure quality by enforcing coding standards and focusing on robust, maintainable systems.
Requirements
- 8+ years in professional software development within high-demand environments.
- Strong computer science fundamentals and mastery of backend platform-level development.
- Solid mathematics knowledge.
- Experience with complex backend systems and fluency in contemporary programming languages.
- Scala development experience.
- Familiar with CI/CD, SDLC, Agile methodologies, and design patterns.
- Strong analytical, algorithmic, and debugging skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English (B2+/C1 level) to explain technical ideas effectively.
