About the Role
We're partnered with a VC-backed climate tech startup whose mission is to drive climate action through data. Their intelligent platform empowers organisations to tackle climate issues by monitoring their carbon footprint. It's currently being used by global sustainability leaders! We are looking for TWO talented Machine Learning Engineers with experience in Search, Recommendation Engines, and Text Classification to join our dynamic team. In this role, you'll collaborate with developers, scientists, and experts to improve AI features that are central to our mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, develop, and maintain ML models, NLP, and Information Retrieval systems that power carbon intelligence globally.
- Deliver key data and insights through platforms that support major enterprises in their climate action efforts.
- Experiment and optimize models (like transformers, classifiers, LLMs) to improve our product’s search and recommendation engine.
- Ensure data pipelines are well-maintained and ready for modeling.
- Deploy and manage models using AWS SageMaker, Flask, and Pydantic.
About the Candidate
What you’ll need:
- Extensive experience in Machine Learning, specifically with Search, Classification, and Information Retrieval.
- Proficient in Python, especially with data pipelines and REST APIs.
- A self-starter who enjoys problem-solving and working independently.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with remote teams.
