About the Role
In this role, you will drive enhancements in tooling and collaboration, supporting Software Engineers with innovative solutions and automation within a dynamic Scrum environment. You will be part of committed teams delivering high-quality software solutions, each consisting of 7-9 members with defined roles including Scrum Master, Product Owner, Architect, Tester, and Developer. Your responsibilities are crucial in ensuring optimal performance, with a focus on collaborative efforts and knowledge sharing, especially given the complexities of the maritime environment.
Responsibilities
- Automate existing and future processes and applications.
- Support Software Engineers with CI/CD workflows and pipelines.
- Implement and maintain tools in close collaboration with Engineering Support teams.
- Actively develop interfaces between different tools and disciplines.
- Introduce new technologies to assist the team.
- Work in two-week sprints, providing Software Engineers with new tools mainly based on Linux, optimizing and automating their usage.
About the Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
- Is passionate about contributing to a safe and secure society.
- Has more than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Knows how to implement and manage engineering applications like Jenkins, Nexus, and Bitbucket.
- Has experience with automation via Puppet and Ansible.
- Is interested in containers (Docker, Podman) and orchestration (Kubernetes, Rancher).
- Possesses extensive knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (6/7/8).
- Is proficient in shell scripting and Ansible.
- Enjoys complex technology and can quickly adapt to new domains and techniques.
- Communicates well, is creative, open, flexible, and eager to learn.
- Is always willing to help others when needed.
- Holds a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, with a talent for Java.
- Ideally has a nationality from the Netherlands, Australia, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, England, Germany, Greece, Norway, Portugal, Spain, or the United States.
