About the Role
We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity for you to take your software engineering career to the next level. As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Securities Services Team, you will serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You will be responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas to support the firm's business objectives.
Job Responsibilities
- Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting, thinking beyond routine or conventional approaches.
- Create secure and high-quality production code, maintaining algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems.
- Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications, ensuring design constraints are met by software code development.
- Gather, analyze, synthesize, and develop visualizations from diverse data sets to improve software applications and systems continuously.
- Proactively identify hidden problems in data and use insights to drive improvements.
- Contribute to software engineering communities exploring new technologies.
- Add to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.
About the Candidate (Expectations and Nice to Have Skills)
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts & proficient applied experience.
- Full stack developer with experience in scalable applications.
- Application development experience.
- Object-oriented design skills and familiarity with advanced design patterns.
- Proficient in Microsoft .NET/.NET Core framework and C#.
- Experience with JavaScript frameworks like Angular or React.
- SQL experience (Oracle, SQL Server, Aurora MySQL, Postgres).
- Familiarity with CI/CD deployment pipelines.
- Experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends.
- Ability to work in collaborative, geographically distributed teams.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- Experience with AWS and data streaming architectures (Kafka).
- Experience with Splunk or Elastic Stack.
- AWS Developer Certification preferred.
- Hands-on Agile practitioner.
