About the Role

We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity for you to take your software engineering career to the next level. As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Securities Services Team, you will serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You will be responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas to support the firm's business objectives.

Job Responsibilities

  • Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting, thinking beyond routine or conventional approaches.
  • Create secure and high-quality production code, maintaining algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems.
  • Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications, ensuring design constraints are met by software code development.
  • Gather, analyze, synthesize, and develop visualizations from diverse data sets to improve software applications and systems continuously.
  • Proactively identify hidden problems in data and use insights to drive improvements.
  • Contribute to software engineering communities exploring new technologies.
  • Add to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.

About the Candidate (Expectations and Nice to Have Skills)

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts & proficient applied experience.
  • Full stack developer with experience in scalable applications.
  • Application development experience.
  • Object-oriented design skills and familiarity with advanced design patterns.
  • Proficient in Microsoft .NET/.NET Core framework and C#.
  • Experience with JavaScript frameworks like Angular or React.
  • SQL experience (Oracle, SQL Server, Aurora MySQL, Postgres).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD deployment pipelines.
  • Experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends.
  • Ability to work in collaborative, geographically distributed teams.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Experience with AWS and data streaming architectures (Kafka).
  • Experience with Splunk or Elastic Stack.
  • AWS Developer Certification preferred.
  • Hands-on Agile practitioner.
