About the Role

Commerzbank AG is looking for a Senior Engineer Development specializing in DLT/Blockchain to join our innovative DLT/Blockchain competence center within the Technology Foundation division. This role involves full-stack software development of microservices for the Crypto Custody and Digital Assets team, including all stages of the development lifecycle, such as design, implementation, testing, and optimization.

Responsibilities

  • Full-stack software development of microservices for the Crypto Custody and Digital Assets team.
  • Integration of applications into the bank's existing infrastructure.
  • Containerization with Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift.
  • Setup and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines.
  • Collaboration with other developers and business experts to clarify requirements and design solutions.

About the Candidate

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A completed degree in computer science or comparable qualifications.
  • Knowledge of Java (or similar like C# or Kotlin) with Spring Boot, and frontend technologies (ideally React with TypeScript).
  • Strong understanding of RESTful API design.
  • Experience with SQL database systems (ideally PostgreSQL).
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies, containerization, and orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift.

It would also be advantageous to understand cryptographic principles, experience with authentication/authorization protocols, and familiarity with blockchain technologies like Bitcoin or Ethereum.
