We are seeking a Principal Technical Consultant to join our Customer Success team. In this role, you will engage with our customers post-sales to develop software solutions on the Appian platform that help companies drive digital transformation and competitive differentiation.
Your main responsibilities include leading projects throughout the entire project life-cycle, defining, designing, and implementing custom software solutions using Appian's low-code platform for our commercial clients. This involves working in an agile environment to understand client business processes, launching relational data models in production, developing APIs for system integration, and mentoring consultants during software implementations.
About the Candidate
To be successful in this role, candidates need:
- A passion for mentoring and developing others.
- Experience leading teams through post-sale software implementation.
- Excellent communication skills and a passion for technology.
- Ability to define business processes and gather system requirements.
Candidates should also have:
- A history of success on cross-functional teams and experience with agile methodologies.
- Basic understanding of object-oriented programming, relational databases and SQL skills.
- Knowledge of software testing practices and experience with integrations using REST and SOAP APIs is preferred.
Basic Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in software development or technical consulting.
- A B.S./B.A. in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% to support customer engagement.
