About the Role
Since 25 years, inovex has been supporting companies in their digitalization and agility, employing around 500 IT experts at 8 locations across Germany. In the Application Development team, we create a variety of applications—from scalable backends to performant web frontends and modern apps, used by millions daily. Our emphasis is on implementing solutions with open-source software in agile projects, where every project is unique based on client needs, team dynamics, and technology stack.
As a Web Developer, you will work together with a cross-functional agile project team to deliver complete solutions from architecture to DevOps operations—"You build it, you run it". You are comfortable with Angular on the front end and Java and/or Kotlin on the back end, bringing experience in both areas. You will also have the opportunity to learn new technologies such as React or Go. Your involvement starts early, as you will help gather and analyze customer requirements in close collaboration with your team, supporting your colleagues with automated testing methods (unit testing, CI/CD, end-to-end tests) to ensure continuous quality control and optimization.
About the Candidate (Expectations and Nice to Have Skills)
We value professional skills and personality over formal educational credentials. A minimum of one year of professional experience with strong knowledge of Java and/or Kotlin and Angular is essential. Ideally, you have some exposure to cloud environments. You enjoy participating in code reviews and reflecting constructively on your work, and it’s important for you to develop a comprehensive understanding of your team members' and clients' perspectives. Proficiency in German (minimum level C1) is required, and good English skills are a plus.
