Job Description
Visa’s Technology Organization is a community of problem solvers and innovators reshaping the future of commerce. The opportunity involves working with the world’s most sophisticated processing networks capable of handling more than 65k secure transactions a second across 80M merchants and billions of users. We are looking to hire an Associate Data Scientist responsible for developing AI innovations in cybersecurity and will need to possess software engineering skills to effectively lead teams in this area.
The Work Itself
The responsibilities of this role include:
- Designing code and systems that focus on Visa’s internal standards for scalability, security, and reusability.
- Collaborating with multiple functions to develop best-in-class software solutions for Visa’s technical offerings.
- Actively contributing to product quality and technology improvements.
- Developing robust products intended for internal stakeholders while utilizing advanced technologies to create innovative cybersecurity solutions.
- Engaging in mentorship and learning opportunities.
Skills You Bring
- Proficiency in programming languages, especially Python and SQL.
- Work experience with AI technologies such as Generative AI and large language models.
- Familiarity with software engineering and product deployment.
- A growth mindset and experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or 3+ years of relevant work experience.
- Software engineering experience is crucial, especially in Python, and familiarity with Git, Jenkins, and Jira is preferred.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and advanced machine learning models.
- Background in Cybersecurity or related domains is a plus.
