About the Role
Finmas GmbH is looking for a Senior IT Architect Web Services / Rest APIs (w/m/d) for the online banking platform of the Sparkassen. You will work in a hybrid model, with 1-2 days per week in the Berlin office. Responsibilities include defining architectural principles, optimizing software systems, and developing applications using Java (Spring Boot). You will also oversee integration of REST-APIs and ensure performance of applications.
Responsibilities
- Architecture: Define and enforce architecture principles, select appropriate technologies, and ensure long-term maintainability.
- Backend Development: Develop applications using Java (Spring Boot), and design REST-APIs for internal and external use.
- Testing and Performance: Write tests for your code (End-to-End Testing e.g., with Jest or Cypress) and optimize application performance.
- Collaboration & Team Leadership: Work closely with the internal UX/design department and the development team, providing mentoring and guidance.
About the Candidate
You should have:
- Development Experience: Extensive experience in development with Java (Spring Boot) and knowledge of designing REST-APIs.
- Testing: Experience with End-to-End Tests (e.g., with Jest or Cypress).
- Architectural Skills: Proven experience in developing scalable and high-performing software systems.
- Tools and Technologies: Knowledge of authentication procedures (e.g., OAuth2), web security best practices, version control systems (Git), and CI tools (e.g., Jenkins).
- Soft Skills: Ability to make independent decisions and actively contribute to the development process, as well as experience mentoring teams.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in German at C1 level.
