About the Role

G DATA CyberDefense AG is expanding its Platform Team and is seeking a DevOps Engineer (m/w/d). In this role, you will not only operate systems but also establish the foundation for entire teams to develop faster and better.

Responsibilities

  • You will work with your team to provide a platform for which thousands of services from different teams and departments will run.
  • You will ensure that the platform is user-friendly from the end-user perspective.
  • You will assist teams in migrating to the platform and establishing GitOps as a process.
  • You will maintain the platform in operation and be a central contact person for various R&D teams.
  • You will collaborate closely with development teams to implement requirements and solutions.
  • Monitoring the system state through KPIs and alerting, ensuring quick responses to anomalies.

About the Candidate (Expectations and Nice to Have Skills)

  • Ideally, you have prior experience as a developer or administrator, focused on modern container infrastructures.
  • You bring knowledge in Kubernetes & Go, and familiarity with GitOps and Everything-as-Code.
  • You have a good understanding of observability through metrics, logging, and tracing.
  • First practical experience in providing storage backends is a plus.
  • You are focused on security throughout the entire application lifecycle.
  • Team-oriented, eager to learn, and possess very good German (at least C1) and English skills.
