About the Team

Our team manages critical infrastructure systems across storage, computing, and databases. As part of TikTok's Technical Infrastructure SRE team, you will tackle complex scalability challenges through expert system design and automation. Independence in diverse projects will be a hallmark of your journey, combined with mentorship for honing your skills in coding, algorithms, and systems architecture.

Responsibilities

  • Reliability Oversight: Ensure the unwavering performance and efficiency of our core infrastructure while establishing reliability standards and recovery SOPs.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve technical issues, conduct bottleneck analyses, and orchestrate enhancements to our high availability architecture.
  • Efficiency Mastery: Develop automated operation solutions for large-scale systems, collaborating closely with system development teams.
  • Cost Optimization: Manage the intricacies of millions of CPUs by implementing delivery standards, monitoring systems, and strategizing budgets for cost optimization.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Final year student or recent graduate (strictly within the last 12 months) with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Solid knowledge of computer software, understanding of Linux operating systems, storage, and network IO.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Go, and Java, along with knowledge of design patterns and coding principles.
  • Coding experience in at least one language such as C, C++, Java, Go, or Python.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with computing & big data systems, specifically with: Kubernetes, Docker/Containers, AIops, Spark, Flink, Function as a service, RPC Framework, and Service Mesh.
