About the Role
As a Kubernetes Engineer, you will be part of a new team focused on managing cloud applications and ensuring high-quality service operation processes. Your tasks will include:
- 2nd Level support for pCloud services based on Kubernetes and Docker.
- Automated deployment of containerized applications using CI/CD processes.
- Monitoring and optimizing the platform through logging, monitoring, and tracing.
- Managing 2nd Level operations for a Data Analytics platform.
- Creating release and deployment plans following ITIL standards.
- Installing, testing, and implementing software and configuration changes considering existing IT infrastructure.
- Handling incidents as per BWI specifications, conducting error analysis and resolution.
- Identifying risks and managing security vulnerabilities.
- Contributing to the development of training concepts and training new colleagues.
- Maintaining and further developing technical documentation.
About the Candidate
We are looking for individuals with the following qualifications:
- Completed studies in computer science or a comparable qualification.
- Good knowledge of Linux operating systems and container technologies (Kubernetes, Docker).
- Additional knowledge in one or more of the following technologies: Git, GitLab, Terraform, databases (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB), Java-based applications, DevOps practices using Ansible, CI/CD, and Apache Kafka.
- Experience in deploying Machine Learning systems (MLOps) is desirable.
- High self-motivation, structured and solution-oriented work style, and strong team orientation.
- Ability to navigate unknown DevOps environments and maintain composure in critical situations.
- Strong interest in learning about new technologies.
- Fluent in German and good knowledge of English.
