The position

As a Java Developer at Agap2, you take on the challenge of working in an international environment with a local focus. You will have the opportunity to work on various projects over the years, based on your experience and interests. Projects span across industries including Banking, Fintech, Telco, Retail, Sports, and Healthcare. Key Responsibilities

You will be joining a team that is responsible for building and maintaining microservices to optimize product assortment and shelf space management across stores. Your daily life will involve:

  • Developing and maintaining backend microservices using Java and Spring Boot
  • Managing and optimizing data utilizing MongoDB
  • Collaborating with team members to deliver scalable and performant services
  • Participating in code reviews, testing, and continuous integration workflows
  • Supporting the system during standby/on-call rotations
  • Ensuring high code quality and system reliability

What you bring to the position

  • Strong experience with Java
  • Knowledge of Grafana, Prometheus, Kafka, and Kubernetes
  • Proficiency in Spring Boot
  • Hands-on experience with MongoDB
  • Experience working within a microservices architecture
  • Ability to take initiative and work with minimal supervision

Nice-to-Have / Considered Alternatives

  • Experience with Kotlin
  • Strong debugging and monitoring skills
  • Familiarity with scalable backend solutions and CI/CD practices
