The client is a well-established e-commerce company based in France, holding a significant market stake. They are looking for a Backend Ruby on Rails Developer to join their team on a remote basis. This is an exciting opportunity with a company that prioritizes effective communication, avoids unnecessary meetings, and embraces a 'fix it, don't just cover the cracks' approach. The development work will focus on greenfield projects, where you will identify problems, communicate solutions, and work with APIs within a modern Rails application.
Responsibilities
- Engage in greenfield development.
- Identify and communicate the root cause of problems to establish better solutions.
- Work with a purely Ruby backend library.
- Collaborate with APIs and mobile applications.
- Utilize a PostgreSQL database in your development efforts.
About the Candidate
You are a lover of the Ruby on Rails stack, ideally with at least 4 years of Ruby on Rails experience. Strong English skills, both written and verbal, are required to communicate effectively in this role. Candidates must be willing to work French hours, with a variance of two hours.
Interview Process
The interview process will include a meeting with the Engineering Manager or CTO to discuss the role, the company culture, and your background. You will undergo a technical coding challenge, followed by discussions addressing your performance and moving on to meet other team members.
