About The Role

A fast-moving startup backed by top-tier investors, focused on building AI driven solutions. Our lean and driven team thrives on solving meaningful problems, delivering real customer value, and iterating quickly. We’re looking for a Senior Front-End Developer / Full Stack Engineer who brings deep technical expertise and a startup mindset to help take our product to the next level. Sponsorship is not possible for this opportunity: You must have a valid work-permit/Citizenship to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development of high-impact features across the front end and full stack.
  • Build intuitive, responsive UIs using React, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and modern CSS frameworks (e.g., Tailwind, Bootstrap).
  • Develop scalable APIs and backend logic using Node.js and Express.
  • Integrate and design RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
  • Work closely with product and design to turn ideas into polished user experiences.
  • Contribute to architecture, performance optimization, and code quality standards.
  • Mentor junior engineers and help shape our development practices and culture.

Tech Stack

  • Front End: React, JavaScript (ES6), TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, Tailwind CSS / Bootstrap
  • Back End: Node.js, Express
  • APIs: REST, GraphQL
  • Databases: PostgreSQL, MongoDB (SQL & NoSQL)
  • Tooling: Git, Webpack/Vite, Docker (nice to have), CI/CD tools
  • Cloud: AWS, Vercel, or similar (optional but valuable)

About the Candidate

What We're Looking For:

  • 7 years of professional development experience, including deep expertise in JavaScript, React, TypeScript.
  • Strong command of HTML, CSS, and responsive design principles.
  • Experience with modern CSS frameworks like Tailwind, Bootstrap, or similar.
  • Familiarity with building and consuming REST and GraphQL APIs.
  • Comfortable across the stack, particularly with Node.js and Express.
  • Product-oriented mindset with experience working in startup environments.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proactive, ownership-driven attitude—you thrive in fast-moving teams.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with mobile-first or responsive design best practices.
  • Exposure to testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Jest, Cypress).
  • Familiarity with cloud deployments (AWS, Vercel, GCP).
  • Contributions to open source or side projects.
