About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Scala Developer to join a team of highly skilled professionals working on a new product development for one of the globally recognized financial institutions. This role offers a hybrid model, with 3 days per week working from the client's office in Wroclaw or Krakow. If you're ready to make an impact in a dynamic environment, we want to hear from you! Candidates who join by 31 of May 2025, will receive a sign-on bonus equivalent to one month's salary.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement user-friendly applications, which integrate seamlessly into our application landscape
  • Improve current and develop new features for several trading application GUIs
  • Translate business requirements (functional and non-functional) into technical designs
  • Work closely with other senior software engineers, PMs, BAs, and business users (clients) to find the best possible technical solution for the project/available requirements
  • Support the production users and investigate issues in production when contacted by the support team

About the Candidate

Requirements:

  • Familiarity with our technology stack: Scala, Functional Programming, Akka Streams, Akka HTTP, ScalaTest, Mockito, Kafka, Liquibase, Slick, PostgreSQL, Gradle, Gatling, TeamCity, Git
  • Good knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proven record of successful delivery & ability to work to deadlines
  • Working knowledge of the Securities Lending business area, and understanding of the various flows and complexities associated with it
