About the Role

Finmas GmbH is DER digitale Partner der Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe, developing digital financial marketplaces for real estate financing and private loans across Germany. We are seeking a Senior IT Architect focusing on Web Services / REST APIs to lead architecture and development within the online banking solution of the Sparkassen.

Responsibilities

  • Architecture: Define and enforce architecture principles, select appropriate technologies, and ensure long-term maintainability.
  • Backend Development: Develop applications using Java (Spring Boot), create and integrate REST APIs for internal and external use.
  • Testing and Performance: Implement tests for code quality, and optimize application performance.
  • Collaboration & Team Leadership: Work closely with UX/design teams and mentor a growing development team.

About the Candidate

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Development: Strong experience with Java (Spring Boot) and REST API development.
  • Architecture: Knowledge in developing scalable and modular software systems.
  • Tools & Technologies: Familiarity with authentication methods such as OAuth2 and web security practices (CORS, CSRF, XSS).
  • Soft Skills: Ability to make independent decisions and provide knowledge transfer through mentoring and code reviews.
  • Language: Proficiency in German at a minimum C1 level.
