About the Role
As part of the ITGAIN team, you will assist clients in optimizing the usage of Db2 database systems. Your responsibilities include conducting complex Db2 projects such as performance analysis, SQL/database tuning, and migrations. You will also be responsible for designing and implementing database systems both on-premises and in the cloud, using GitOps methods and tools.
Responsibilities
- Support and advise clients on the optimal usage of Db2 database systems.
- Conduct complex Db2 projects, including performance analyses, SQL and database tuning, and migrations.
- Design and implement database systems on on-premises platforms and in the cloud, utilizing GitOps methodologies.
- Proactively monitor system operations in our Managed Service and resolve disturbances.
- Take responsibility for the development and administration of customer databases.
About the Candidate
We expect candidates to have a completed university degree in computer science, business informatics, or natural sciences, or similar IT training. You should have in-depth knowledge in the setup and operation of Db2 databases. Strong skills in SQL and familiarity with operating systems are required, and knowledge of other database systems is considered an advantage. Ideally, candidates will also have initial experience in cloud environments and GitOps methods and tools, such as Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, or Ansible. A high degree of responsibility and a structured working style are essential, along with the ability to work independently.
