About the Role

We’re hiring on behalf of an innovative Scale-Up that’s looking for a passionate MLOps Engineer to join their team. If you're excited about automating ML pipelines and building production-ready systems, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Location: Primarily remote, with the option to work from offices in Essen, Munich, Berlin, and/or Straubing
Start date: As soon as possible
Type of employment: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable ML infrastructure for deployment and monitoring
  • Automate the ML model lifecycle, including training, testing, deployment, and monitoring
  • Develop CI/CD pipelines tailored for ML workflows
  • Collaborate with data scientists and ML engineers to ensure seamless model integration into production
  • Implement monitoring systems to track model performance and detect drift
  • Optimize infrastructure for cost and performance
  • Ensure robust data governance, security, and compliance throughout the ML pipeline

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 3 years of experience in MLops, DevOps, or similar roles
  • Proficiency with MLops tools like MLflow, Kubeflow, or SageMaker
  • Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Strong programming skills in Python, C++ or similar languages
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD processes and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible)
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus or Grafana
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Fluent English skills; German is a plus

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with feature stores and data versioning tools
  • Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and frameworks
  • Familiarity with data pipeline tools like Apache Airflow or Luigi
  • Understanding of distributed systems and microservices architecture
  • Experience with hybrid cloud environments and on-premises integration
  • Strong expertise in networking and security for ML workflows
  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks like GDPR or HIPAA.
