About the Role

As a Machine Learning Engineer on our team, you will work on the digital future of Germany's largest email brands WEB.DE and GMX. Your contributions will ensure that our over 42 million users feel at home in their digital environment, comfortably utilizing all features of their intelligent inbox. You will take responsibility for the operation and further development of our Machine Learning platform.

  • You will assist in building our internal ML ecosystem and be responsible for the operationalization and deployment of our ML models.
  • You will support the realization of monitoring solutions for our ML applications.
  • You will design and develop central Python libraries and components focusing on MLOps.
  • You will make decisions regarding the technologies and frameworks used in your area of responsibility.
  • You will work closely with Data Scientists, product teams, and decision-makers.

About the Candidate

The ideal candidate has completed a computer science degree, a natural sciences degree, or a comparable qualification, and has several years of relevant experience in Machine Learning Engineering.

  • You possess deep knowledge in Python and have experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Scikit-Learn.
  • You have experience with MLOps and the productive deployment of ML models (e.g., with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD) and are familiar with the functionality of model storage and deployment (e.g., MLFlow, KServe).
  • We work with NVIDIA technologies such as Triton Inference Server, TensorRT, and TensorRT-LLM, and ideally, you will be able to support us directly in this area.
  • The terms Clean Code, Testing, Git, and Code Reviews are familiar to you.
  • You work in a structured and independent manner, have good English skills in writing and speaking, and proactively bring your willingness to learn to our team.
