About the Role
Join Atlassian's Machine Learning team as a PhD graduate to work on advanced AI technologies and drive enterprise impact. Key responsibilities include collaborating with Research Scientists and Machine Learning Engineers to design and execute research experiments, curating, preprocessing, and managing large datasets for ML model training and evaluation, executing continued training and fine-tuning of LLMs for specific applications, evaluating advanced ML algorithms, providing detailed performance reports, and publishing research in industry workshops and journals.
About You
Candidates should have a PhD in Computer Science or a related field, completing between November 2024 and November 2025. Strong foundation in AI/ML, LLMs, and optimization techniques is necessary, along with proficiency in Python programming and data management using libraries like NumPy and Pandas. Experience with large-scale datasets and applied machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch is required, as well as exposure to NLP and Computer Vision. Familiarity with state-of-the-art ML and AI research and strong communication skills for collaboration will be advantageous.
