About the Role
Finmas GmbH is seeking a Lead IT Architect Web Services / Rest APIs (w/m/d) for its Online Banking platform. This full-time position requires defining architecture principles and selecting appropriate technologies to maintain long-term system functionality. You will be responsible for developing applications using Java (Spring Boot) and creating REST APIs for both internal and external use.
Responsibilities
- Architecture: Define and enforce architecture principles, ensuring maintainability and selecting suitable technologies.
- Backend Development: Develop applications with Java (Spring Boot) and integrate REST APIs.
- Testing and Performance: Write end-to-end tests (using Jest or Cypress) and optimize application performance.
- Collaboration and Team Leadership: Work closely with the internal UX/Design department, mentoring a growing development team.
About the Candidate
The ideal candidate will have a substantial background in Java (Spring Boot) development, experience with REST APIs, and knowledge of implementing typical authentication methods. End-to-end testing experience and familiarity with web security practices are beneficial. Strong soft skills in decision-making and team leadership are essential, alongside a proficiency in German at a minimum C1 level.
