The role will play a crucial part in developing a well-loved large scale eCommerce platform as well as a number of other single page applications, generating £billions in revenue globally. You will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary, high performing engineering team with an ever-changing technical landscape.
About the Candidate
Ideally, we are looking for someone that has demonstrable experience with Ruby on Rails, having no preference on versions, but working up to v5+ would be advantageous. The candidate should be a real team player and be passionate about pushing boundaries and exploring new ways of working. It is expected to have a solid understanding of database design, software methodologies, and patterns, as well as good knowledge of Ruby on Rails.
The ideal experience includes:
- Solid understanding of database design, software methodologies and patterns.
- Good knowledge of Ruby on Rails.
- Previous experience of introducing technical change and improving coding practices.
- Experience of working within an Agile Team using Scrum / Kanban.
- Good understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
- Proven experience reviewing code and providing constructive feedback.
