About the Role

ALD AutoLeasing D GmbH is looking for a Java / Kotlin Backend Developer (w/m/d). In our IT Digital Transformation department in Leipzig, you will be responsible for:

  • Development of innovative applications
  • Analysis of business requirements in close cooperation with Product Owners
  • Development of ideas for new technologies and methods
  • Maintenance and enhancement of existing applications
  • Taking responsibility in (partial) projects crucial to the success of digitizing our processes.

About the Candidate

We seek candidates with:

  • A completed degree in Computer Science (possibly with a business focus), Business Administration (with IT emphasis), or comparable qualification through practical experience.
  • Ideally, at least five years of professional experience in an agile project environment.
  • Proven experience in digitizing (paper-based) processes, ideally with knowledge in financing or insurance processes.
  • Experience in leading technical (partial) projects.
  • Very good knowledge in Kotlin and/or Java, as well as the Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring Data, etc.).
  • Practical experience with cloud platforms (especially Azure), Kubernetes (Cloud/On-Premise), and relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle SQL).
  • Knowledge of Elasticsearch, asynchronous communication (Messaging), REST/SOAP interfaces, Git, and Gradle.
  • Experience in designing, implementing, and monitoring CI/CD processes and monitoring systems.
  • Goal orientation, willingness to learn, analytical thinking, and independent action.
  • Strong presence, communication skills, and teamwork.
  • Very good German and good English in spoken and written form.
  • Preferably knowledge of front-end technologies like React or Next.js.
