About the Role
Hunter Bond is seeking a knowledgeable Platform Engineer to work on their low latency Linux estate for an elite FinTech client. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in platform automation, particularly with Terraform and Ansible. The role will span across Platform Engineering, DevOps, Linux Systems Administration, and SRE, incorporating elements from all these fields. You will be responsible for building and architecting automated solutions to ensure scalable deployments both in private and public cloud infrastructures.
Responsibilities
- Build, design, and architect automated solutions for scalable deployment
- Work in both project and BAU capacity, automating wherever possible
- Collaborate with teams to integrate technologies for continuous improvement
Core Skills Required
- Proficiency in Linux
- Strong experience with Terraform and Ansible
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, or Podman
- Knowledge of CI/CD practices
- Competence in Python, Ruby, or Go
Desirable Skills
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience with Terraform, Helm, Ansible, Pulumi, or Bicep
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP
- Familiarity with disaster recovery (DR) practices
- Knowledge of Block/Blob Storage solutions
- Expertise in High Performance Computing (HPC)
