About the Role

We are looking for a Principal Software Engineer/Tech Lead to join us in Dublin! Workplace Investing (WI) helps employers lead a successful benefits program to improve their employees' overall well-being. As a Tech Lead, you will be crucial in driving successful projects and enhancing employee benefits programs through innovative technological solutions. You will collaborate with diverse Scrum teams and be at the forefront of delivering outstanding customer experience solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with product owners to address business problems using technology.
  • Lead Scrum teams within the Digital Platforms Technology department.
  • Develop and mentor team members to enhance their coding skills and improve project outcomes.
  • Provide technical leadership and craft, build, and test features for Fidelity's digital experiences.
  • Collaborate with Squad Lead, Scrum Master, Developers, Quality Assurance, and Architects to ensure project success.
  • Maintain a keen understanding of web application components to deliver exceptional user experiences.

About the Candidate

Expectations

  • Bachelor's or post-primary degree in a Technology-related subject.
  • Over 10 years of development experience in leading technology teams and full-stack solutions.
  • Strong passion for end-user experience and agile software development methodologies.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.

Nice to Have Skills

  • Expertise in modern SPA JavaScript frameworks such as Angular (preferred), Vue, or React JS.
  • Experience with Java, Spring Boot, RESTful web services, Kubernetes, and GraphQL.
  • Knowledge in API management with Swagger and OpenAPI.
  • Understanding of CI/CD tools, Jenkins, Maven, and cloud-computing platforms including AWS.
