Azure Data Engineer (m/w/d)

Analyze and explore new data sources in the corporate data lake in the Microsoft Azure Cloud.
Prepare and provide data for data analysts and data scientists as needed.
Collaborate on the development and operation of the central multi-stage cloud platform based on Microsoft Scale Analytics for STRABAG’s data science and data warehouse projects.
Actively participate in the motivated, innovative SCRUM team of STRABAG Innovation and Digitalization.

Knowledge in data modeling and mastery of relevant technologies for data processing (e.g., SQL, Python; PySpark knowledge is an advantage).
Conceptual understanding of distributed data processing with Spark, with initial exposure to Spark Structured Streaming being beneficial.
Experience with Databricks (knowledge of Databricks Asset Bundles is a plus).
Proficient use of Git; feel free to include your GitHub profile link with your application.
Desirable: experience with local development under Linux and knowledge of CI/CD processes.
Hands-on experience in implementing data pipelines with Microsoft Azure Synapse Analytics Workspace is a plus.
Strong technical understanding and practical experience with modern concepts for data science applications in a cloud context.
Team player with strong communication skills, analytical thinking, and a structured work approach.
Very good English skills, both spoken and written; good German skills are beneficial.
