About the Role
As a Senior Software Developer at IONOS, you will be a crucial contributor to our Managed Kubernetes team. You will help design, develop, and maintain our cloud-native applications using Golang and provide enhancements to our Kubernetes offerings. Collaboration across diverse teams will be essential to your success.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, development, and maintenance of cloud-native applications (Kubernetes Operators, REST APIs, Libraries).
- Implement new features to enhance our Managed Kubernetes offerings.
- Boost the development of our service architecture and Infrastructure-as-Code practices.
- Maintain a complete DevOps toolchain (Helm Charts, GitHub Actions, GitOps workflows).
- Creation and upkeep of Kubernetes Operators and Custom Resource Definitions (CRDs).
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions for Kubernetes workloads.
About the Candidate
We are looking for candidates with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in Kubernetes in production settings. Strong skills in Golang development and a proven track record of deploying production-grade code are crucial. Familiarity with public cloud providers and deep understanding of Kubernetes architecture is expected. Experience with observability stacks such as Prometheus and Grafana will be an asset.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKAD, CKS).
- Familiarity with infrastructure automation tools (Terraform, Ansible).
- Experience with multi-cluster and multi-tenant Kubernetes architectures.
- Contributions to open-source Kubernetes ecosystem projects.
