About the Role
Take part in ensuring the digital future viability of the Bundeswehr with BWI GmbH, a primary digitalization partner that delivers IT services both domestically and abroad. We are responsible for modernizing one of the largest and most complex IT infrastructures in Germany. The goal is to provide high-quality service operation processes. Responsibilities will involve operating and supporting cloud applications using Kubernetes, Docker, and Data Analytics solutions.
Responsibilities
- Provide 2nd Level support for pCloud services based on Kubernetes.
- Automate the deployment of containerized applications through Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD).
- Monitor and optimize the platform by strategically applying logging, monitoring, and tracing tools.
- Handle 2nd Level operations on a Data Analytics platform.
- Create, install, test, and implement software and configuration changes considering the existing IT infrastructure.
- Process disturbances according to the BWI specification (disturbance acceptance, error analysis, error remediation).
- Identify risks and mitigate security vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate on the development of training concepts and conduct training for new colleagues.
- Maintain and enhance technical documentation.
About the Candidate
We are looking for an individual with:
- A completed degree focused on Computer Science or a comparable qualification.
- Good knowledge of Linux operating systems and container technologies such as Kubernetes (K8s) and Docker.
- Additional knowledge in technologies like Git/GitLab, Terraform, and databases (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB).
- Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD.
- Strong self-motivation and a structured, solutions-oriented work style, with a pronounced team orientation.
- Negotiation-level German and good English proficiency.
