About the Role
UMATR is searching for a Senior Rust Engineer to join our team in the FinTech sector, working remotely on a full-time basis. You will be involved in building and optimising low-latency, high-performance systems in Rust, designing clean, scalable APIs, and enhancing existing systems for better performance and maintainability. Collaboration with engineers and stakeholders to deliver production-ready features and contributing to internal tools and libraries is also part of your responsibilities.
About the Candidate
We are looking for someone with 5+ years of professional Rust development experience. You should have a strong grasp of systems programming concepts, including memory management and concurrency. Additionally, experience with PostgreSQL and a good understanding of algorithms, data structures, and software design principles is required. Clear communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented mindset are essential. Experience throughout the entire software development lifecycle is a plus.
Bonus Points For
Bonus skills include experience with C++ or Java, exposure to crypto, trading, or finance-related platforms, and familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions and Jenkins. Contributions to open-source projects in Rust will also be viewed favorably.
