Responsibilities

As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer (Redis), you will be responsible for designing, building, operating, scaling, maintaining, and evolving Workato's enterprise-grade storage infrastructure. You will collaborate with engineering and infrastructure teams to lead our global storage strategy for various use cases and ensure reliability and performance in our storage layer. Your role will have a significant strategic impact on the modernization of Workato's architecture, requiring expertise in distributed storage systems, particularly Redis. The job entails a hands-on approach to building infrastructure as code and monitoring system performance, including troubleshooting and ensuring reliability.

Requirements

Qualifications / Experience / Technical Skills

  • 5+ years of experience with deploying and supporting scalable distributed enterprise-grade in-memory data stores.
  • Production experience with clustered Redis environments and knowledge of the Valkey/Redis ecosystem.
  • Experience with Redis memory optimization and capacity planning.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing, particularly AWS, and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes and modern deployment tools for managing Redis instances.

Soft Skills / Personal Characteristics

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills in global teams.
  • Ability to work effectively with distributed teams and possess good spoken English for technical discussions.
  • An interest in modern big data technologies and architectures with a balance between hands-on and analytical approaches.
