Are you a hands-on DevOps professional ready to take the lead? We’re seeking a Mid-Senior Level Lead DevOps Engineer to join a top consultancy, driving the automation, scalability, and reliability of our clients’ microservices platforms.

Salary
- £50,000–£60,000 GBP + Bonus + Benefits

What You’ll Do
- Design & implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Ansible.
- Build and manage container platforms with Docker & Kubernetes.
- Develop and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployments.
- Script and test automation in Python and/or JavaScript.
- Configure AWS services (VPC, EC2, S3, ALB/ELB, Route 53, WAF, KMS, Security Groups, Network ACLs, EBS).
- Monitor, log, and alert on system health using ELK, Prometheus, Grafana.
- Harden security and enforce best practices across our infrastructure.
- Provide on-call support and mentor junior engineers.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong Linux proficiency in production environments.
- Deep AWS knowledge — from VPC to KMS and beyond.
- Proven experience with GitLab (or Jenkins) CI/CD pipelines.
- Expertise in Terraform, Ansible, and Infrastructure as Code.
- Containerisation with Docker and orchestration via Kubernetes.
- Development/testing experience in Python and/or JavaScript.
- Hands-on experience deploying 12-factor microservices.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools like ELK, Prometheus, Grafana, and Nginx.
- Excellent communicator who thrives in a collaborative environment.
Nice-to-Haves
- AWS DevOps Engineer certification.
- Service mesh (Istio, Linkerd) or serverless (Lambda, API Gateway) experience.
- Background in DevSecOps or security tooling.
