Iris Software Inc. is seeking a Lead AWS Data Engineer for a long-term contract opportunity in Toronto, ON. This role is hybrid, requiring only one day onsite per week. The Lead AWS Data Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing data solutions using AWS services.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize AWS Cloud Services including S3, Glue, Redshift, and other data warehouse solutions.
- Conduct ETL processes and manage cloud resources using CloudWatch and Step Functions.
- Proficiency in SQL and hands-on experience with relational databases is essential.
- Engage in DevOps practices including CI/CD and use of Terraform or CDK for infrastructure management.
About the Candidate
Must Have Skills:
- Extensive experience with AWS Data Services (S3, Glue, Athena).
- Proficient with SQL and data processing in at least one programming language, such as Python or Java.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, ETL tools, CI/CD processes, and Hive.
- Experience with project management tools like Jira.
