About the Role

As a Senior Database Engineer at BWI GmbH, you will ensure the digital future of our nation. Your responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining users and permissions
• Setting up access controls, triggers, and jobs
• Creating and maintaining Bash scripts
• Performing backup and restore of databases
• Configuring databases as per operational requirements and IT security guidelines
• Ensuring monitoring and reporting structures are in place.

About the Candidate

The ideal candidate should possess:

• A completed degree in computer science or a comparable education with relevant expertise
• At least 5 years of practical experience in DB2 database administration
• Familiarity with DB2 LUW high-availability solutions
• Certifications in DB2 or equivalent knowledge is a plus
• Strong analytical skills, good organizational skills, readiness for teamwork, self-responsibility, and resilience.
