Hogrefe Digital Solutions is an internationally active media company that specializes in psychological diagnostics. We develop the Hogrefe Test System (HTS), a web platform providing comprehensive psychological online assessments. We are currently seeking an experienced Java Software Engineer (m/f/d) to join our development team immediately. Your main responsibilities will include modernizing our system and driving the vision for future development while implementing essential technical decisions to maintain our industry-leading software.
Responsibilities
- Drive the modernization of our software solutions by collaborating with your team.
- Make essential technical decisions for future-proofing our software.
- Utilize tools such as Puppet, Foreman, GitHub, Gradle, Docker, and Datadog.
- Enhance our backend powered by Java and MySQL through further development and optimization.
- Set high standards in the software development process, ensuring best practices and code quality.
About the Candidate (Expectations and Nice to Have Skills)
The ideal candidate should possess at least 12 years of software development experience, focusing on Java. We are looking for someone who values the quality of past projects over mere tenure. You will be expected to leverage your expertise in the Java ecosystem and modern web technologies to contribute to our ongoing improvement processes. Excellent English communication skills are essential, while German is a plus.
