About the Role

As a Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in building the next generation of BlackLine applications and data platform. You'll be responsible for:

  • Developing, testing, troubleshooting, and optimizing cloud-based backend platform components, including Event Bus, API Gateway, Developer Portal, and more.
  • Addressing issues and bottlenecks proactively and supporting deployment and release activities.

About the Candidate

We are looking for candidates with:

  • A BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience (MS + 1 year experience also acceptable).
  • 2+ years of professional experience in building web-scale multi-tenant SaaS, focusing on backend platforms, RESTful APIs, and microservices.
  • Familiarity with public cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and expertise in one or more object-oriented programming languages (C#, Java, C++).

Nice to Have Skills

  • Experience with service-oriented architecture, core platform services, SQL, No-SQL data modeling, and ERP platforms like SAP or Oracle.
  • Background in FinTech or financial services.
