About the Role
Reddit is looking for a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join its Top Of Funnel team. The team is instrumental in user growth, combining search engine knowledge with the best user experiences to introduce new users to Reddit, transforming them into engaged community members. You will leverage the data generated daily by users to improve and enhance Reddit's capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Own projects from ideation to production while collaborating with a talented, cross-functional team to create enjoyable user experiences.
- Apply Machine Learning to solve discovery, relevance, and recommendation challenges.
- Build and deploy machine learning models aimed at improving the experiences of millions of users.
- Participate in the full software development cycle, including design, development, QA, deployment, experimentation, analysis, and iteration.
- Mentor team members and advocate across functions.
About the Candidate
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- At least 2 years of experience with industry-level deep learning models.
- Proficiency with mainstream ML frameworks such as TensorFlow and Pytorch, with 4+ years in training, evaluating, and deploying models.
- Experience managing complex data generation pipelines over large datasets and applying machine learning techniques to real-world problems.
- Strong analytical capabilities with high-volume natural language and multimodal data, alongside SQL skills.
- Effective communication skills to convey complex research and ideas clearly.
- Preferred experience in writing production-quality software (Python or Golang) and familiarity with content recommendations or personalization. A passion for building pleasant user experiences is also essential.
