As a Principal Data Scientist, you will lead the development of advanced reporting and analytic tools to improve health outcomes by connecting people with the care, pharmacy benefits, and resources they need. You will collaborate with other leaders to enhance the effectiveness of the entire organization and architect innovative solutions.
Primary Responsibilities
- Architect solutions by collaborating with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into analytic solutions.
- Design, code, test, document, and maintain high-quality Big Data solutions.
- Provide insights and guidance on actionable analytic findings through clear summaries and presentations.
- Identify gaps, process improvements, and lead initiatives to execute them.
- Develop insights regarding existing analytic tools and recommend enhancements.
- Utilize advanced analytic approaches to best address business priorities.
- Mentor junior resources to advance their analytic skills.
About the Candidate
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- Extensive experience working in technical and matrix management environments.
- Expert-level proficiency in SQL and one programming language (SAS, R, or Python).
- Advanced experience in Data Visualization tools like Power BI and Machine Learning model development.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PhD or Master’s in a relevant field.
- Experience with cloud-based data analytics such as AWS or Azure.
- Understanding of Medicare risk adjustment programs.
