About the Role
The Data Application Engineer at BlackLine is key to building and maintaining python-based applications. You will work with cutting-edge technology, integrating and deploying microservices in GCP Kubernetes, as well as creating and maintaining REST API endpoints in GCP. Your main responsibilities include:
- Proactively solving open-ended problems in a timely manner.
- Researching and resolving business and technical challenges independently.
- Building and maintaining machine learning models and data pipelines.
- Collaborating with teams to develop high-value AIML services.
- Assessing data quality for business solutions and performing data cleaning.
About the Candidate
We're looking for a passionate candidate with the following qualifications:
- Strong experience with machine learning in the accounting and financial services industries.
- Proficient in statistics, calculus, and multivariate analysis.
- Capable of building robust ML models.
- Knowledgeable in SQL, Python, Spark; experience with Tensorflow/PyTorch is a plus.
- Familiar with cloud services like AWS, GCP, or Azure and comfortable using Unix/Linux environments.
- MS/PhD in Computer Science or related quantitative fields.
