The Role

We're seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic data team. You’ll be responsible for designing and maintaining scalable data infrastructure, building robust pipelines, and optimizing data workflows to support analytics, product development, and business intelligence efforts.

What You’ll Do

  • Architect, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using modern tools (e.g., Spark, Airflow, dbt).
  • Design and optimize data models and storage solutions (e.g., Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake).
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with data scientists, analysts, and software engineers.
  • Ensure high data quality through automated testing, validation, and monitoring.
  • Drive adoption of best practices in data engineering, coding, and documentation.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the technical growth of the team.

What You Bring

  • Proficiency in Python and SQL (Scala is a plus).
  • Experience with modern data stack: Spark, Airflow, dbt, Kafka, or similar.
  • Solid understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL/ELT design.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD for data workflows.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Fluent in English (German is a plus).
