As part of this project, you will be leading the technical change for one or multiple applications and accountable for the respective lifecycle management and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. Responsibilities
- Act as a peer to the Product Owner, ensuring adequate representation of application design, development, and operations aspects within the backlog.
- Define the technical roadmap and support the Product Owner to prioritize technical stories.
- Estimate sizing of required development resources or - for vendor products - challenge the provided vendor estimations.
- Implement as Tech Lead the technical solutions to meet the business requirements and facilitate change prioritization from a technical perspective.
- Collaborate with the Application Manager to ensure implementation of non-functional requirements, leading to sustainable, stable, and maintainable applications.
- Contribute to the Solution Blueprint and own the Solution Design, Security Concept, and Interface Agreement of the application.
- Escalate risks and issues to the IT Governance. Occasional weekend work and on-call duty might be required.
About the Candidate (Expectations and Nice to Have Skills)
- Strong computer science fundamentals with 6-7+ years of professional software development experience with Java, JavaScript, Scout, Oracle/Postgres, and REST interfaces.
- Readiness and motivation to certify as a BSI developer.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Banking knowledge is a plus.
- Experience in operations/support is desirable.
- A self-motivated, communicative personality with a great interest in new challenges and an independent work attitude.
- German language proficiency is a plus since some of the trainings and documentation are still in German.
