About the Role

As a Software Architect at Symbio, you will be responsible for:

  • Designing and developing scalable software architectures based on Java technologies.
  • Advising clients on selecting suitable technologies and architectural patterns.
  • Analyzing existing IT landscapes and devising modernization strategies.
  • Managing development projects while applying agile methodologies like Scrum and SAFe.
  • Ensuring software quality through code reviews, testing, and best practices.
  • Providing knowledge transfer and coaching to developers and collaborating closely with departmental teams.

About the Candidate (Expectations and Nice to Have Skills)

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • A completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable qualification.
  • Several years of experience in software architecture and development using Java (Spring, Quarkus, Jakarta EE).
  • Solid knowledge of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and microservices architecture.
  • Experience with CI/CD, DevOps principles, and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • An understanding of modern frontend technologies (Angular, React, or Vue.js) is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly.
  • Proficiency in both German and English.
