About the Role
S-Communication Services GmbH is looking for a Senior Data Engineer (m/w/d). In this role, you will enhance our cloud-based data platform for Business Intelligence, Digital Analytics, Marketing Controlling, and Data Science. Your key responsibilities will include connecting new data sources to our Data Warehouse, quality assurance of imported data, designing and implementing data architectures and ETL processes, and ensuring the reliable operation of the platform. Moreover, you will implement new requirements for data analysis efficiently and independently contribute to prototype projects regarding technology decisions.
About the Candidate
You should have a degree in Computer Science (or a comparable field) and experience in a similar position. We expect you to be very experienced in modern, agile, and object-oriented software development using Python. Familiarity with database systems such as Google BigQuery, Exasol, and Azure SQL Database is essential. Additionally, you should be comfortable using cloud environments (Google Cloud Platform, Azure Synapse), well-versed in pipeline tools (e.g., Apache AirFlow), and open to learning about current topics like Machine Learning and relevant Data Science libraries (e.g., Pandas, scikit-learn). Strong communication skills in German and the ability to write fluently in our corporate language are also necessary.
