About the Role
Infosys is looking for a Java Backend Developer to join our team in Richardson, TX. The role involves software application development using Java, including tools and frameworks like Spring MVC, Spring Boot, and experience with Microservices messaging technologies such as AWS, Kafka, and RabbitMQ. The candidate will also need to integrate with front-end technologies like HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and AngularJS. Creating and utilizing RESTful web services alongside databases like Postgres and MySQL is a critical function of this position.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution; will also consider three years of progressive experience in lieu of every year of education.
- At least 2 years of Information Technology experience.
- Proficiency in software application development using Java, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, and Microservices messaging technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with automation testing frameworks using Java and tools like Selenium WebDriver/TestNG, Maven, Junit, Mockito.
- Familiarity with CICD practices using Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of logging frameworks such as Splunk and Prometheus.
- Experience with non-functional requirements including User Authentication, IAM, Performance, and Application security.
- At least 2 years of experience in design reviews for Java and Spring Boot-based projects.
- Strong communication and analytical skills and ability to work in a diverse, team-focused environment.
- A background in global delivery environments is advantageous.
