About the Role
Harnham is seeking a Lead Dev Python for our Paris office, offering a competitive salary of up to 90K€ CDI. You will be joining a dynamic tech startup that is rapidly expanding its technical team to work on a valuable product used by thousands of clients.
As the Lead Dev Python, your responsibilities will include:
- Improving the quality and resilience of the existing backend.
- Optimizing performance and managing databases, with a focus on real-time challenges.
- Coaching backend developers and enhancing their skills.
- Leading code reviews and implementing best practices. You will not have hierarchical management responsibilities but will play a crucial role in technical and strategic decisions.
Stack & Technical Environment
- Language: Python (strong knowledge of Django is preferred; FastAPI/Flask is welcome).
- Database: PostgreSQL with a focus on optimization and performance.
- Additional Practices: Unit testing and adherence to development best practices.
- Cloud: Experience with Azure and AWS is a plus but not mandatory for all profiles.
About the Candidate
The ideal candidate for this position should possess the following qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Python with a strong command of Django.
- Proven experience in technical leadership (including code reviews, best practices, and mentoring).
- Knowledge of performance and database optimization challenges.
- Experience in startup or scale-up environments is highly advantageous.
