About the Role
BWI GmbH is looking for a Kubernetes Engineer to ensure the digital future viability of the Bundeswehr. As the primary digitalization partner of the Bundeswehr, we provide stable, secure, and efficient IT services, both domestically and internationally. The department EMSU is responsible for ensuring high-quality service operation processes. You will join a new team to manage cloud applications and ensure the operational capabilities of Kubernetes-based solutions.
Responsibilities
- Provide 2nd level support for pCloud services based on Kubernetes and Docker.
- Automate the deployment of containerized applications via CI/CD.
- Monitor and optimize the platform using targeted logging, monitoring, and tracing.
- Operate solutions on a Data Analytics platform and prepare release and deployment plans according to ITIL standards.
- Address incidents according to BWI specifications, involving error analysis and resolution.
- Identify and mitigate security risks while contributing to training concepts and documentation.
About the Candidate
The ideal candidate should have:
- A completed degree in Computer Science or a comparable education.
- Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems and container technology (Kubernetes, Docker).
- Additional knowledge in technologies like Git/GitLab, Terraform, database systems, and Java-based applications is a plus.
- Experience with DevOps and CI/CD methodologies, as well as the ability to work in newly defined DevOps environments under pressure.
- Proficient in German and good knowledge of English.
